Resources contained in this research guide include databases and Internet sites containing full-text versions of newspapers, magazines, journals, and newsletters on a variety of topics. Newspaper coverage includes The New York Times, the Miami Herald, the Palm Beach Post, the Sun-Sentinel, the Boca Raton News, and a large selection of national and regional newspapers. Also included are databases providing indexing to a variety of newspapers, magazines, and journals.

ArticleFirst: An index to periodical articles covering a variety of subjects.
Expanded Academic ASAP: A bibliographic database containing citations to articles from scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers covering a variety of topics. The full text from some articles is included.
General OneFile: A collection of millions of magazine and newspaper articles, many full text with images, covering a wide range of topics. The database is updated daily.
General Reference Center Gold: A database containing articles, dating from 1980 to the present, on a variety of subjects taken from reference books, newspapers, and magazines. Many articles contain full text and images.

LexisNexis Library Express: A rich collection of information covering three major areas:

  • News Sources: Current news from over 1,200 U.S. and international newspapers, 300 magazines and journals, newsletters, and broadcast transcripts. Historical information is included in this resource back to 1977.
  • Business Sources: Company and financial information on over 43 million U.S. and international public and private companies.
  • Legal Sources: A comprehensive collection of federal and state statutes, regulations, and case law, as well as legal news and law review articles. (Legal Sources are in-Library use only)
MasterFile Elite Periodicals Collection: This is a comprehensive collection of current and historical full-text magazine and journal articles. Topics covered include business, health, science, education, culture, current events, and more. Articles come from more than 1,000 periodicals that include Time, U.S. News & World Report, Business Week, Forbes, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, and People.
New York Times: Historical: A digital archive of full-text articles, with images, from the New York Times from 1851 through 2001.
