New Downtown Library

Expanded eLibrary Services Available Anytime, Anywhere
Expanded eLibrary services, including eMagazines and eAudiobooks, are now available for free with a valid BRPL library card. New eMagazine and eAudiobook services add significant resources to the BRPL eLibrary, which also includes more than 1,100 unique eBook titles and 42 online databases. All eLibrary services are available 24/7 and may be accessed by computer or any mobile device. View the press release.

Read Your Favorite Magazines Online With Zinio
The BRPL is pleased to announce the availability of Zinio for Libraries, an online newsstand providing access to dozens of popular eMagazines. Quick Instructions are available to help new users set up their account.

Strategic Planning: Community Survey Summary Report
Recently, the BRPL invited members of the Boca Raton community to participate in a survey on library services as part of its strategic planning process. The community survey on library services is a key component of an ongoing assessment of all BRPL services and operations. Findings of the survey will be used to assess and improve current library services and identify future strategic directions. View the Summary Report.

BRPL in the News: Spanish River Library as a Special Event Venue...or Film Location!
The Spanish River Library's growing reputation as a wonderful venue for weddings and other events was featured in December issue of Gold Coast magazine, the November issue of the Parklander magazine, and a July article in the Sun Sentinel. View the Sun Sentinel article, and a YouTube video about the Spanish River Library. In the December issue of Focus on Film, the Location Spotlight section features SRL and states that "...the most impressive feature is the sprawling lakeside terrace which could lend itself to a big social scene for a television show or feature film."

Online Catalog for Mobile Devices
BRPL provides access to the online catalog via AirPAC for Smartphones. To access AirPAC, mobile device users connect using their mobile device to the BRPL Catalog. Users will be automatically redirected to the mobile version of the BRPL Catalog.

Socrates Café
The Boca Raton Public Library is sponsoring a Socrates Café gathering every Thursday from 1:30-3:30 p.m., at the Spanish River Library. The Socrates Café is being facilitated by Dr. Renato R. Bellu, a resident of Boca Raton and Professor Emeritus at The City University of New York.
