Donated Materials Guidelines
For Print on Demand, Self Published and/or Local Authors

The Boca Raton Public Library appreciates the willingness of authors to contribute their items to the Library collection. All donations presented to the Library as gifts are subject to the same selection criteria as purchased items, as outlined in the Collection Development Guidelines. An item(s) not included in the collection will be donated to the Friends of the Library Bookstore.

Instructions for receipt of donated materials:

• The following information must be included along with the item(s):
  • Copy(s) of published reviews from professional journals or publications.
  • A listing of the item(s) availability in other locations such as libraries, historical societies or bookstores.
  • Any other information pertaining to the inclusion of the item(s) in the Union Catalog or a MARC Record.
