The rear of the building, with the children's area closest, backs up to the lake. The far rear of the building will hold the cafe. Directly above the cafe is the rooftop terrace. The steps to the terrace are just beginning to take form. The small area to the east, shown as an "out growth" from the building, is the drive-up bookdrop which many patrons have requested. The second floor, with a quiet study area, conference room, electronic classroom, and staff offices is beginning to take shape. Floors have been poured on both levels. (January 2005)
Spanish River Blvd. runs to the far left of the photo, going from east to west. The entrance to the building is flanked by columns which will become a covered entranceway. The meeting room is to the west of the entrance. The children's area is in the rear, to the east. The partial second floor at the front can be clearly seen. The area between Spanish River Blvd. and the building will consist of 207 parking spaces. (January 2005)

The colonnade along the western front of the building leads to a separate entrance that can be used for access to the functions rooms and cafe when the "library" portion of the building is not open. (January 2005)
Looking out of the Youth Services area of the building, you can see where the cafe will be located. The area between Youth Services and the cafe will include a three-tiered terrace that leads down to the lake and a scenic walkway. (January 2005)
